With our projects, which are focused on serving and blessing, we are committed to demonstrating the love of Christ without forsaking the gospel. Concerned Christians Canada is encouraging Christians, who are called by Christ's name to stand for Christ, and when they have done all to stand, to stand having girded themselves with the armor of God. We are sounding the trumpet call to all men and women that love the Lord to be the watchmen over the nation that we are called to be.

Our nation, although founded by men who believed in the God of the Bible, has markedly departed not only from holding the Bible up as THE authority for and above all men, but has substancially departed from honoring the God of the Bible.
There are many attacks on the Biblical definition of the family. God has blessed his definition of marriage, other choices bring curses, not only on the adults but also on the children and on the society that embraces those choices.

CCC is committed to explaining the benefits for God's design for marriage. As an organization, we are also committed to promoting God's model, to individuals, groups and politicians.
In this day and age, youth are hurting. Whether it be that they have been wounded by sexual, physical, emotional or spiritual abuse, at home or elsewhere, or broken by "dating" which has left them abandoned and broken, whether they have had stability and security robbed from them due to their parents divorcing, or any of a myriad of other problems, children are more and more hopeless and need to know that Christ is for them if the turn to Him. Responsible Parents To Be Turned Into Criminals

(Calgary) Concerned Christians Canada Inc (CCC) is very alarmed that Canada's Liberal majority run Senate has passed a bill that will outlaw spanking and charge parents with assault for doing so. The bill sponsored by Liberal Senator Celine Hervieux-Payette is expected to go before the House of Commons in the fall session.

"This new bill looks to dismantle parental authority, apply further pressure on the family, and remove an important corrective tool for responsible parents, not to mention further affront religious freedoms. The Bible instructs parents to discipline their children and that failure to do so demonstrates hatred toward them (Proverbs 13:24 ). The Bible also teaches that “fools despise wisdom and discipline” (Proverbs 1:7 ). It also states that, "To discipline and reprimand a child produces wisdom, but a mother is disgraced by an undisciplined child" (Proverbs 29:15 ). I have 4 children and each child is different, one child needs a spank once in a while and others change their behaviour with other methods. Loving parents have no desire to abuse their children, but they also want them to understand and respect authority figures, and systems of leadership. This bill is nothing more than an attack on the family and even more so people of faith" stated Jim Blake, National Chairman of Concerned Christians Canada Inc (CCC).

Concerned Christians Canada Inc (CCC) has already started contacting Christians about this bill and will continue to do so throughout the summer. The CCC will be contacting other organizations as well in an effort to encourage Canadians to communicate with their MP about this issue. The organization is currently re-vamping its website and preparing an action campaign prompting citizens to contact their Member of Parliament via fax, phone, snail mail and / or e-mail.

"It does not surprise me that something this top down has emerged from the Liberal Party, but I am getting frustrated with their hypocrisy. On the one hand Liberals say that the government does not belong in the homes of Canadians when it comes to sexual behaviour that negatively impacts children. While on the other they have no issue stripping parents of one of the important tools that contribute to raising law abiding and authority respecting citizens. This issue alone will bleed votes away from the Liberals to other family respecting parties. I agree with NDP MP Peter Stoffer when he stated that spanking teaches that there are consequences. Again some children need a spanking and others merely need a discussion, the decision should be left up to the parents and not the state", Concluded Blake.
