I came across a thread on facebook regarding the topic of infatuation (what the youth called love). Here is the full thread. I have abreviated the names so that individuals may remain anonymous. This post is to reveal where young people's hearts are at (even within the church) on the topic of love.

Jim Blake - The "senior man" most certainly does not "love" the freshman girl since he knows not what love is. Love is not lust, love is not even a feeling, love is giving oneself sacrificially without the requirement of repayment. Love is not a feeling, it is not the butterflies in the stomach, not your heart racing, not feeling flushed in the face, panting hard, desiring sex or wanting to have something that doesn't belong to you. Love says I will do what is good for you no matter if you like me for it or hate me for it. Love protects, nurtures, honors, rejoices in what is good and right and true. Love is the most sincere expression of selfless commitment to Godly goodness and purity, waiting for what is good, being patient for what is best instead of taking shortcuts through broken counterfeits. In fact, we only truly love because God first loved us. God showed us true love in Christ Jesus - God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (the ultimate sacrifice) in order that through relationship with Him we could be made right with the Heavenly Father. May you seek and find the only true love that satisfies and that redeems (Christ Jesus). God bless you.

The owner of the main post allowed me to post and could ask me to stop at any point, but did not, but in fact said that she liked the comments I posted)

Jim Blake - Not creepy just honest - promoting what is good and true and right. You will see. Wisdom is vindicated by it's fruit. Jesus is the only way to eternal life. Scoffers will come and go but God's word endures forever. God bless.

Jim Blake - B. C. , God's word has been written on paper but is eternal, because God is eternal. He is not fading nor is His memory. He doesn't forget His promises, commitments, or covenants. He is not like men and women that lie. He is completely truthful, honest and never sins and He loved you to send Jesus to die on the cross for your sins B. C. , the real truth remains whether you choose to embrace it or not. God bless you in the name is Jesus Christ. Jim Blake - B. C. I encourage you not to close your mind to the truth. Science, anthropology, history, and the creation all testify to the truth that God is real and that the Bible is God's written divine revelation to humanity. I used to believe in evolution. After extensive research I have found that I was sadly mistaken. I pray that you keep seeking. Don't take my word for it, but if you are open pray and ask God this one thing - "God, if you are real, would you help me to see the truth and to know you personally"? I won't comment any more B. C. , but I care about your eternal destination and I care that you are where I was and that you are living in bondage that you don't need to be. So as you can see, many lies and misunderstandings regarding love, abound and this is not only with youth but the general view in adults regarding the nature and definition of love which has been badly distorted by the flesh. It is our responsibility to deliver God's truth on these topics in every forum where we can be heard and to speak where others are afraid of offending friends or family, to embolden them to speak out and to be bold for Christ and so that the truth of God is spread abroad.

We need to get the truth out to the young people before they are devoured by satan's tactics and lies. If we can reach the youth with the truth, we can prevent them from being adults who go on to teach children wrong understandings of love. It matters not if they like us for telling them the truth. It also does not matter if they immediately receive the truth, but the truth is the only thing that saves and sets people free from sin. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. We must preach and leave the results to God, for He is the God of the harvest.
