Kenney is the Right Choice for Alberta
Jason Kenney has been a strong and unwavering conservative. Brian Jean on the other hand has shown himself to be an opportunist and calls Christians 'nutbars' …
I won't go on and on in this article, but some people have asked me to speak out and say what my thoughts are on the UCP leadership race in Alberta. I think it goes without saying that I don't support compromisers, opportunists, red tories, or politicians that show no moral grit. I actually have more respect for a leftist that at least stands for something, albeit something I don't stand for than for someone who likes to flip-flop on issues like a fish out of water.
To my mind there is only one clear candidate that can really bring back the Alberta advantage that red tories and our current cultural Marxist dictators in Edmonton have squandered. That clear choice is Jason Kenney. He understands not only grass roots politics but he also understands what made Alberta great, our economy, our education system, and our families strong.
He is the only politician in Alberta who consistently holds both the Notly government and the federal Liberals feet to the fire. He's the only one serious about getting respect back for our province both nationally and internationally. He's serious about revoking Bill 6, the anti-family farm legislation our leftist government brought in, and he has a real way with connecting with Albertans.
When it comes to social issues and to all issues that matter, Kenney has voted consistently the right way. He stands for freedom, but freedom from tyranny not just freedom to do whatever you want. He holds views that are truly conservative and is not ashamed of forwarding conservative solutions that actually work, for everything from improving community and strengthening the family, to re-invigurating and restoring the Alberta ecnomy.
On top of that he repeatedly and consistently affirms parents' rights as first and primary educators of their children, and affirms the rights of citizens to not be under the oppression of heavy government legislation or big union pressure.
Brian Jean on the other hand called full conservatives "nutbars" and "crazies". Any Christians thinking of voting for Brian Jean should think again. Here is a quote from an interview that he had with the Calgary Sun in 2015:
But is he a social conservative?
“No,” says Jean, in a nanosecond.
“I’m a fiscal conservative and I’m more of a libertarian. It’s none of my business what people do behind closed doors in their personal life. It’s absolutely none of my business. It’s not any of their business what I do either.”
Still, there is the fear the Wildrose will be painted as a refuge for political whack jobs.
Remember the last week of the 2012 election when defeat was snatched from the jaws of an expected Wildrose victory.
Jean is quick to comment.
“There are nuts in every party. Everybody has these people in their party who others would classify as nutbars.”
“What do we do with them? Well, at first, we can try to manage them and then we get rid of them. That’s the truth of it.
So, no matter what Brian Jean would like you to believe, remember that these are his true sentiments toward those of us who hold to traditional family, and Christian values.
If you are looking for a leader who can lead Alberta forward into a renewed Alberta Advantage better than we have seen in many generations, you need look no farther than Jason Kenney. Frankly, a vote for Jason Kenney is a vote for the only really good hope that Albertans have going forward.
