Are men better or women in the eyes of God?
It is not about whether men are better than women or women better than men, both arguments are fruitless and indefensible Biblically. Men and women are both created in the image of God, so both are creations of God, and co-heirs with Christ. Men and women are to submit one to another, in Christ Jesus.
Men are given the priestly headship in the home, but are not to lord it over the women, but rather, with prayer and wisdom, order their houses well.
Women are to submit to their husbands as unto the Lord and men are to honour their wives as the weaker (more delicate) vessel.
God made woman as the helpmate of man, and man to be a covering to the woman and the children. Wives are to respect their husbands, and husbands are to love their wives, as Christ loves the church willing to lay down his life for her.
There is perfect beauty, harmony and order in God's plan for the family. Together, they are to go forth, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.
The woman is to bear and raise the children, under the leadership and authority of the Godly husband. The woman is not to usurp the authority of the husband, just as the church is not to usurp the authority of Christ (such is the Jezebel spirit that contributed to the fall of man and is warned against in the letter to the church at Thyatira in Revelation). Women are not to be authority over the man.
The man is to walk in submission to the Lord and the woman is to be in Godly submission to the man.
Any arguments that try to elevate the status of one or the other is unrighteous.
"If you play the fool and exalt yourself, or if you plan evil, clap your hand over your mouth!" Proverbs 30:32
We must humble ourselves before the Lord and to love one another as Christ has loved us. Murmurings, backbiting, gossiping, and the like are not to be named among the brethren. We are told in scripture that for as much as it is within us to dwell together with understanding, not quarrelling with self-indulgent unrighteous ungodly babblings.
May God grant us all widsom and grace to love and serve one another according to the blessed will of the Father in Jesus Christ our Lord.
