Meditate on that which is good - do you love death?
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
For those who love to watch every form of evil (or read novels about it) involving murder, vampires, witchcraft, horror, etc... If you claim to love the Lord Jesus Christ, read this and repent - The Lord says in Proverbs 8:36 "But he who sins against me injures himself; All those who hate me love death."
We are commanded to - 1 Timothy 6:11 flee from these things (foolish and harmful desires), you man or woman of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. 12Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Your love and desires are shown by your time commitment to something; talking about it, thinking about it, watching it, reading it, etc... According to God our thoughts are to be pure (without blemish) and good.
James 4:4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
We cannot be a friend of the world and at the same time a friend of God, we must love one and forsake the other. The Lord warns us that if we want Him we cannot be luke-warm, if we want Him we must be on fire for Him, and demonstrate it by our whole life; through faith, service, self-sacrifice, commitment to follow His commandments and most of all through love, demonstrated through action for God and one another.
Revelation 3:15 'I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. 17'Because you say, "I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19'Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"
