There are many cases that Concerned Christians Canada is involved in, in the role of advocate and adviser.  In an effort to better serve in this capacity CCC is starting a defense fund to defend people legally when they are attacked, for exercising their orthodox Christian faith publicly, by various groups, by representatives of the government or by individuals.

These days, few people have read what our Charter protected rights are.  Nor are many people aware of the original mandate given to the Human Rights Commissions to protect inidividuals in areas of housing and employment.  The original intent, as stated by its creator, was never to limit thought and speech.

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states:

Constitution Act, 1982

Enacted as Schedule B to the Canada Act 1982 (U.K.) 1982, c. 11, which came into force on April 17, 1982

PART I

Canadian charter of rights and freedoms

Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:

Guarantee of Rights and Freedoms

1. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.

Fundamental Freedoms

2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

a) freedom of conscience and religion;
b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
d) freedom of association.

Ron Gray - Former CHP LeaderA case in point is Ron Gray of the Christian Heritage Party, who has been dragged before the Human Rights Commissions for speaking his strongly held orthodox Christian views.  He is, as are others, fighting to keep their Charter protected rights.  Cases like the case against Concerned Christians Canada and Steven Boissoin, and the unconstitutional remedy levied against us, are clear cut examples that Christian liberties are at stake if we do not defend them in the courts, as the tribunals are disinterested with truth, facts, and legal evidence.  Christians, across our nation, have had Bibles confiscated at peaceful protests, have been arrested and fined for reading the Bible in public parks, sidewalks, and campuses, and have been arrested for silently standing with signs outside abortion clinics.

Would you consider giving a monthly or one time contribution to our Legal Defense Fund, and would you please take a minute and do so now.  Legal challenges against our faith are coming fast and furious, and evil does not sleep.  Attacks will come with more frequency and fury as the near future unfolds. Several cases are currently in need of legal funding as we speak.

To contribute to our Defense Fund, please fill out our 'Donate to Our Initiatives' form above, and remember, even five dollars a month, can make a big difference.

Jim Blake

All glory goes to the living God, maker of the heavens and the earth, for He alone is worthy of all glory and honor and praise. I consider the sufferings of this age not worthy to be compared to what is to come for those who place their faith in the King of kings and persevere in faith, day by day, until the end.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

Psalm 103:11-18
